The Ryan Good Collection

Introducing the newest addition to the Ryan Good Collection, The Cable. Inspired by Ryan, this collection is classic and made with soft cable knit, and a genuine leather woven label.

Ryan got his start the same way many of us have – working as an assistant to Usher. Ryan will tell you himself, he wasn’t that good at being an assistant but he always had a sense of style and a personality that stood out. He became fashionable in Usher’s eyes and when Justin Bieber appeared on the radar, Usher figured Ryan was the perfect fit to go on the road with the kid to teach him how to grow up real quick. From road manager to stylist and unofficial “Swagger Coach” Ryan played big brother to Justin all through his rise to fame. After multiple world tours and a couple movies with Justin, Ryan began to work on new projects such as producing the show Punk’d. Currently, Ryan is working on multiple TV shows along with being sought after on a daily basis for fashion advice from some of the fastest rising stars in music.

Mike Smith Signature Series

We are proud to announce that tomorrow we are launching Mike Smith’s signature collection. We did a soft launch with Mike back in December and it was a hit, so it only made sense to bring back his original black and white pom beanie but this time offer in it three new color ways. Mike took his time and selected the new color ways that he felt he could get behind and wear on his head any day of the week. The beanie features Mike’s “Skate For Change” logo patch on the front with 1 by 1 ribbing. Mike is the founder & CEO of two non-profits called “The Bay” and “Skate For Change”; SFC focuses on empowering skateboarders to skate around their communities supplied with food, water, socks, and beanies to give out to the homeless and has over 50 branches set up nationally with over 10,000 kids that have been a part of SFC. Arguably the most in demand youth speaker in the United States, Mike motivates people by traveling around the country to talk to kids about giving back and how easy it is to be a good person. Mike is also the face of Beanies4Life, which is a program Yea.Nice created to make a difference in the lives of the homeless around the country that are fighting life threatening conditions. When Mike first got onboard with Yea.Nice he mentioned his favorite beanie was our Pom, so that style became the foundation for his beanie when we discussed doing a signature collection with him.

Here’s a couple words from Mike Smith: “I support brands that give back and have a higher purpose, brands that do more then just sell a product and for me Yea.Nice is a company that does just that, because it’s more than just a beanie. It’s an opportunity to help someone, it’s a chance to buy a product you like and to help others in need. I’m proud of this beanie from the quality, fit, look, and for what happens after you purchase it.” – Mike Smith.

Heather, Black and White, Orange and Ocean Heather.

Every order comes with a personalized Mike Smith x Beanies4Life postcard, and we will match every purchase with a 1-for-1 donation to a homeless shelter across the United States.

Stalley Signature “The 330”

Yea.Nice is honored to release Stalley’s signature beanie “The 330” that pays homage to his blue collar roots. Stalley is a music artist from the Midwest who began independently releasing mixtapes in 2008 with Goin’ Ape and its 2009 follow-up MadStalley: The Autobiography, but his breakout tape was Lincoln Way Nights.  From there, he personally touched down at venues performing all over the world.  As his buzz kept growing, Rick Ross personally reached out, inviting him to join the Maybach Music Group family.  He continued releasing critically acclaimed mixtapes, his Honest Cowboy mixtape earned a nomination for the “Best Mixtape of the Year” at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.  Hailing from Massillon, OH, Stalley proudly upheld that Ohio tradition of artistic innovation on his aptly titled full-length debut album, Ohio, which was released on Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records in late 2014.

Stalley has been apart of the Yea.Nice family since mid-2014 and it’s only fitting for someone who has such a strong fashion sense and unique style to have his own signature beanie. A very limited number of units will be released on 3.27.2015 at 10am PST as a soft launch on and the official release will be coming later this Holiday in 2015 to select retail stores.

Jahlil Signature Series Beanie

We are proud to announce that tomorrow at 10am PST we will be launching a limited quantity of The Corporal,  Jahlil’s signature beanie that is sold exclusively on our site. This beanie features a perfectly stitched camouflage acrylic top that is followed up by an extra soft 1 by 1 ribbing on the bottom that features our very own custom made Yea.Nice embroidered patch. It measures at 9 inches long from top to bottom, so you have the coverage you need combined with the style your head deserves. Each purchase comes with a custom Yea.Nice x Jahlil custom dog tag and Jahlil even made three custom beats that are downloadable on our site tomorrow for free, all day long.

Jahlil is a platinum selling super producer known for making beats with top artists such as Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Rihanna and many more. His hard work ethic shows in everything he does and he spent and ample amount of time working on this product so it would have the perfect combination of comfort combined with style.

Here’s a few words from Jahlil: “The “Corporal” Beanie is just a reflection of my life where I come from, how I came up in this music industry you gotta be tough, I had to work hard, I had to be militant. Creating this Beanie with Yea.Nice was so dope because I had 100% creative control with the product, and on top of that I have a opportunity to give back which is most important.”

Long flights and countless hours in the studio have landed Jahlil where he is today.

X Games Aspen Colorado

We have been attending X Games since the brand started back in 2010, and we sure weren’t going to miss it this year. With our new line focused clearly on beanies we had to be there to support our team riders and connect with industry friends. We drove in treacherous conditions from Denver to Aspen but once there it was all worth it. Our advocates, Zack Black and Matt Ladley just missed the chance to compete due to a stacked field and late season injuries, but they were present in every practice session and could be seen going sky high in the perfectly cut pipe at night.  Shaun White showed up to defend his Gold but fell short. Our good friend Mark Mcmorris came to Aspen with something to prove  after getting a bronze medal in the Olympics last year. He put the critics to rest by winning double gold in Slope Style and Big Air, and really securing his name as the best Slope rider in the world at the moment.

If you weren’t watching the best snowboarders in the world compete you could catch an amazing show from names like Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg and Chromeo. We were lucky enough to be at the events and we somehow managed to see Wiz on the final night at the Belly Up. We were blown away by the amount of supporters we saw there wearing Yea.Nice gear and we are already setting up plans for next season. If you have never been to Aspen for the X Games we highly recommend it.

The road to Aspen was a blustery one. Denver all the way to Vail valley was a white out.

Zumiez hosted their annual 100k sales party at Keystone Resort in Summit County, Colorado this past Monday and Tuesday.  The company flies out all of their employees who sell over $100,000.00 worth of retail for the year, and put them up in a hotel at the base of the resort and provide free lift tickets. They put on a huge award show on Tuesday night to honor the top sales employees. Following the award show, artists such as Juicy J and Mac Miller performed on stage, while skate legends sessioned the mini ramp at the back of the concert venue.

To say this is an epic event would be an understatement. It is an awesome opportunity to meet the people who rep our brand in the stores nation wide, and network with all the other brands in the industry. This year, we custom made over 1500 Hollaclavas and distributed them to all of the attendees. Since the theme of the party this year was “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”, we decided to put Keanu Reeve’s face on the front of all the Hollaclavas. They were a major hit and could be spotted on everyone once up on the hill. Huge thanks to Zumiez and all of their employees for putting on such an awesome event and having us out. We hope to see you all next year!

Agenda Long Beach

2015 kicked off with Agenda Trade Show opening its doors early on Monday morning. This was our fourth year showing at Agenda and we always look forward to this show. Agenda is a great place to see friends, network and check out new lines from some of the best brands in the industry.

We were eager to showcase our new products that we’ve been working on for the last few months. Once the show opened up people started showing up immediately, and the response was just what we were hoping for. Friends, buyers and advocates filtered through checking out the new beanies and trying them on instantly. Everyone was excited to see new styles and color ways. People seemed to gravitate to our new Premium Line that is all cashmere. The positive feedback on the line as a whole was very gratifying after spending countless hours going over the smallest of details on all of the beanies.

Every season the Dew Tour kicks off at Breckenridge, CO in mid December. Its the official start of the season for the competitors and a huge event for us considering we launched the brand from this small mountain town about 4 years ago. All the athletes are there competing in the half pipe or slope style events, and those who don’t have invites to X Games yet can earn their last chance spots at this contest. With a prize purse of over 200k the athletes lay it all on the line. There’s no better feeling then going into the holidays with a podium at a huge event under your belt and an invite to X Games. Although our team riders fell short of making finals, we didn’t let that ruin our time in Breckenridge.

We all decided to make the best of the good conditions and free ride our faces off while cheering on our friends from the bottom of both the slope style and half pipe events. It was amazing watching everyone throw down and connecting with industry friends who were all asking for a Hollaclava. We had a few to give out but clearly not enough for the demand we were under. We all left the event sore and sunbunrt. Congrats to everyone on the great early season performances and see you all at X Games in January.

Evan Rossell Signature Beanie

Official Release:
We are proud to release 100 units of Evan Rossells signature beanie exclusively on Yea.Nice’s website! Evan had been experimenting with different watercolors and wanted to create a patch that looked like watercolor, almost like a piece of canvas painted and then sewn onto a beanie. We stitched his patch onto our tubular thermal knit Fold that totes his signature hangtag and comes with a postcard of Evan. Evan Rossell is an artist based out of Costa Mesa, CA and is better known for his signature monster that he calls “Stink”. His art has been featured in magazines such as Blisss and has had collaborations with brands such as RVCA, Levi’s, Hurley, and more famous collaborations being his Nike shoe called the “Stinkween” and his signature line of Burton Snowboards. This Friday we will release his first signature beanie with Yea.Nice and we couldn’t be more excited to share his work and limited beanie with you.

It’s A Nice Life:
The “It’s A Nice Life” text featured on Evans beanie is part of our campaign that embraces the simple feeling you get when you see someone on a road trip with best friends enjoying the moment, the thought that going to the beach and sipping a beer is at the end of the day what we all can relate to. Because at it’s simplest form, those are the moments that remind us that it truly is a nice life, and it’s days like that, that we all live for.

Evan gave 10 packages of his signature beanie to his inner circle, where we printed off his artwork and he hand sewed the paper together to create custom packaging for each beanie. Then we heat sealed wax each envelope with his Evan Rossell postcard inside for one very curated and artistic piece. We will be giving one away after the launch of his beanie to someone on his instagram.
